Do you know that God has a calling on your life? I was never a fan of the idea of sitting in the pew and twiddling my thumbs. There is more to our walk with Jesus than simply accepting Jesus, as Lord and Savior.
Yes, God does have a plan and a purpose for each one of the sons and daughters of God. I repeat. What is God calling me, into doing? I’ve some people who say “Your mess is your message!” Is it? Let’s talk about that.
I’d like to share a story and encourage you, to press in and not give up hope on what God has called you, to do. You are not a failure because you didn’t get it right, the first time. Believe it, or not. This is not my first site of any kind. Would you like to hear my story?
Have you ever rode on a tandem bicycle, before? What would it look like, if Jesus is doing the driving?
As a child, I did ride on a tandem bicycle. It’s quite fun and a potential adventure waiting to happen.
The more sighted person would sit on the front seat and I’d sit on the backseat. Do you suppose that I contributed nothing to the biking experience?Think, again!
Though it has been 40+ years, I can still recall being told “Hey Barry! You need to contribute! It would be a lot more fun if you help pedal!” He was quite correct. Such bikes are a lot easier when both individuals are cooperatively working together.
Do you know the same principle applies to one’s walk with Jesus? What if, our walk with Jesus was similar to riding on a bicycle built for two people? Who would be in the front seat? I’d like to share my perspective on this idea.
What would happen, if we pray as we do on Facebook? Some people are quite passionate about their views on a variety of topics and they are not afraid to let it be known. Here’s the thing. They don’t just do it, one time. They keep going!
If we could just pray with that same level of tenacity and audacity ala our Facebook comments then things can change!
Oh, I am serious about what I wrote! However, I am going in a constructive direction; not destructive! There is no reason that we can’t put that energy into powerful prayer for change that lines up with Heaven’s viewpoint. I invite you to listen to the podcast then read the article.
