Let’s PRAY Strategically for Kanye; NOT complain!

Have you heard the amazing thing that God is doing through Kanye West? Ever think of praying for this young man? Though I may be a little rough, I would like to offer some suggestions for praying for Kanye West

First, I would like to congratulate Kanye West in giving his life to Jesus. I typically don’t listen to hip hop artists like Kanye; so I did not know of his new album, “Jesus is King”.

Typically, this type of news would fly under the radar with me. So, I would not have known if not for all the flax flying out from unlikely sources.

Really? Why am I hearing about church people complaining about this man? Do we really think God can’t turn this man around and use Kanye, for His Glory? If God can arrange for a 90-year-old woman to safely give birth to a healthy baby and live to see it then anything is possible.

I heard the report of the phenomenal # of young people giving their lives to Christ. Here is an article from a Fox News correspondent, Jonathan Morris. The article is “Jonathan Morris: I Went to Kanye West’s Church” I agree with Jonathan and Pastor Greg Locke. I believe Kanye is sincere and desire to glorify Jesus

This young man has been given an incredible platform to share the Gospel of Jesus. I am certain that he isn’t perfect. Are you perfect in everything you say and do? Not me!

I am thankful for those people who thought to pray for me; even if they weren’t certain of what God could do. Why don’t we do that for this young man? Have you not read what Paul says in Philippians 1:5-7?

in view of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now. For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. For it is only right for me to feel this way about you all, because I have you in my heart, since both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of grace with me.

Let’s press in and continually ask God to keep Kanye on a steady path and not get distracted by the Enemy’s tactics. You do recall that we’re in a spiritual warfare. Right? Guess who does not like what Kanye is doing?

Let’s pray for Jesus’ protection on Kanye and that he’d be surrounded by godly individuals. I heard someone say that Kanye could use a good pastor to help him stay true to the faith. Good idea! Guess who also knows this? So, let’s stop giving the Adversary a door of opportunity.

Let’s pray that Kanye would continue to have a hunger for God’s Word and it would continue to fuel all that he does! A lot of young Christians may start out as being on fire. However, one can burn out if you don’t develop the discipline daily reading God’s Word, prayers, worship, and meditation.

I don’t know if Kanye is aware of these things. I certainly didn’t know about it when I started my walk with Jesus. I had to learn it, as I go. If Kanye is already doing so then he’d continue it. If not, I’d pray he’d quickly learn it. Do you see what I’m actually doing?

I am taking the likely problems and turning it into an opportunity for prayer and bless Kanye, with it. Yes, I have heard that the young man doesn’t have a deep root and that is a good reason to be praying for Kanye; not complaining.

Let’s pray that Kanye would continue to boldly speak out on the things God has given him to say. You may think that I’m being silly in saying this. After all, Kanye doesn’t seem to have a problem with speaking boldly. You could say the say thing about Paul. Have you ever read Ephesians 6:18-20? Guess who is asking for prayer in that department?

With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

I think you get the idea. If Paul needed prayers and boldness then the same thing applies to Kanye. Does it not? The same thing applies to protection, too.
